Course 2 Graduation Requirements: To earn your APPI Pilot Level certification, you must complete a minimum of 15 solo flights totaling 3+ hours of flight time (accumulated across Course 1 + Course 2), pass all skills assessments, and pass the written examination.
ParaTrike, wing, helmet, GPS, radio communication, and all navigation equipment for the entire 6-day course.
All solo flights included: local flights, navigation exercises, and supervised cross-country missions (10km & 30km routes).
Professional XC techniques: route planning, waypoint navigation, thermal identification, emergency landing selection.

You need to have completed Course 1 (or equivalent APPI certification), achieved your first solo flight, and passed all Course 1 skills assessments. You should be comfortable with basic solo flying and ground handling before starting Course 2.
Everything: all equipment (ParaTrike, wing, helmet, GPS, radio), 15 solo flights including 10km and 30km cross-country routes, advanced theory sessions, all skills assessments, written exam, and APPI Pilot Level certification. Accommodation and meals not included.
Tandem flights are used at the beginning of Course 2 to build confidence as you develop advanced skills. You'll progress from tandem with instructor β dual control β supervised solo β independent cross-country flights. The goal is for you to complete solo XC flights by the end of the course.
You'll fly two main XC routes: a 10km navigation flight to build confidence, then a 30km cross-country mission. Routes are carefully planned over varied terrain with multiple landing options and constant radio contact with your instructor.
Yes! If you've completed Course 1 (Open Sky & Adventure Pilot) AND passed all the skills checks, you can progress directly to Course 2. You can also do both courses back-to-back with our Full Programme Bundle (Β£3,200 - Save Β£200!) to maintain learning momentum.
You'll earn the full APPI ParaTrike Pilot Level certification, recognized internationally. This qualifies you to fly ParaTrikes independently worldwide, subject to local regulations and site rules.
